Your SCANA Energy bill is broken out into several sections. You can use the following as a guide to reading your bill correctly.
At the top of your SCANA Energy bill, you will find your account number, current monthly charges, the total amount due with the date it is due and a box to fill in the amount you are enclosing as your payment.
In the next section of your bill, your name and service address is listed, along with the statement date, your account number, and activation code. If you have not registered to access your account online, SCANA Energy will provide an activation code that will enable you to register. Once you have done so, that code will no longer appear on your bill.
The third section is your charges summary. In this box you will find any balances brought forward, your current charges, any installments or rebates, other charges and credits, additional service charges, and your total amount due. Use this section of your bill to compare your rates to the same month from the previous year to track your energy use.
In the next section, you will see your natural gas charges. This includes your current rate type and the price-per-therm. You will also see your billing period and the meter reading that determined your charges.
The fifth section on your bill summarizes all your charges, as well as any balance brought forward from a previous bill. Your total amount due is shown in this section. If you are an Easy Payment Plan (EPP) customer, this amount will reflect your EPP amount plus any miscellaneous unregulated charges from your bill.
The bottom of your bill is the special messages section. Check here each month for special messages from SCANA Energy, which may include important information about your rate plan or charges on your bill, news and special offers or promotions. You'll also find your AGL (Atlanta Gas Light) account number, and contact information for SCANA Energy.
